Registration using Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC
1. You must have a Mobile Number registered against your Aadhaar.
2. Download the Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC ZIP file and create a Share Code on UIDAI website. Click Here to redirect on UIDAI website.
3. Upload the Aadhaar Paperless Offline e-KYC ZIP file on NSDL website for generation of PRAN.
4. Enter the share code of 4-characters created at UIDAI website.
5. Demographic details (Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile no., Address and Photo) will be fetched from UIDAI database and other mandatory details need to be fill up online.
6. You need to upload scanned copy of PAN card and cancelled Cheque in *.jpeg/*.jpg/*.png format having file size between 4KB – 2MB.
7. You need to upload your signature in *.jpeg/*.jpg/*.png format having file size between 4KB – 5MB.
8. You will be routed to a payment gateway for making the payment towards your NPS account from Internet Banking.
9. Subscriber has an option to do OTP Authentication or eSign the registration form to CRA. For details please refer ‘Process for OTP Authentication / eSign / View Registration form‘ section.
10. Contributions are credited in PRANs on T+2 basis (subject to receipt of clear funds from Payment Gateway Service Provider).
11. In case of Corporate Subscriber registration, payment of initial contribution is not required.
Registration using PAN (KYC verification by POP)
1. You must have a ‘Permanent Account Number’ (PAN).
2. Existing active account (Account number/Folio number/Demat) with the empanelled POP for KYC verification after subscriber registration through myNPS.
3. Your KYC verification will be done by the POP during the registration process. Name and address provided during registration should match with POP records for KYC verification.
If the details don’t match, the request is liable for rejection. In case of rejection of KYC by the selected POP, the applicant is requested to contact the POP.
4. You need to fill up all the mandatory details online.
5. You need to upload scanned copy of PAN card and Cancelled Cheque in *.jpeg/*.jpg/*.png format having file size between 4KB – 2MB each.
6. You need to upload your scanned photograph and signature in *.jpeg/*.jpg/*.png format having file size between 4KB – 5MB each.
7. You will be routed to a payment gateway for making the payment towards your NPS account from Internet Banking.
8. Subscriber has an option to eSign the registration form to CRA. For details please refer ‘Process for OTP Authentication / eSign / View Registration ‘ section.
9. Contributions are credited to your account (PRAN) on T+2 basis (subject to receipt of clear funds).
10. In case of Corporate Subscriber registration, payment of initial contribution is not required.
Process for OTP Authentication / eSign / View Registration Form
After Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) is allotted, subscriber can use the following option:
Option 1 – OTP Authentication
1. Select ‘ OTP Authenticate Subscriber Registration Form’ option in the OTP Authentication / eSign / View Registration page.
2. Enter the Captcha and click on Generate OTP.
3. OTP for the purpose of authentication will be sent on registered email ID and mobile number. Both the OTP will be different. Subscriber is required to compulsorily enter both the OTPs, enter the Captcha and then click on Verify OTP.
4. Once a document is Authenticated, you need not send the physical copy of the form to POP.
Option 2 – eSign
1. Select ‘eSign’ option in the eSign
2. OTP for the purpose of authentication will be sent to your mobile number registered with the Aadhaar.
3. After Authentication of Aadhaar, Registration form will be successfully eSigned.
4. Once a document is eSigned, you need not send the physical copy of the form to POP.
5. eSign service charges plus taxes applicable is Rs. 5.90.
