खेड्यातल्या बाजारच्या दिवसाची मजा मुले, स्त्रिया, पुरुष सगळे लुटतात. शेतकऱ्यांना आपला भाजीपाला आणि धान्य ले. म्हणजेच आणि आपल्या शेतात पिकवलेल्या सगळ्या वस्तू विकायची ती चांगली जागा असते. सकाळी-सकाळी शेतकरी धान्याची पोती आणि फळांच्या व भाजीपाल्याच्या टोपल्या यांनी आपल्या बैलगाड्या आणि ट्रॅक्टर भरून टाकतात. बाजारात विकायच्या असलेल्या शेळ्यामेंढ्या, गाई-म्हशी आणि कोंबड्याही बरोबर घेतात. त्यांना बाजारातून वस्तू विकतही घ्यायच्या असतात. त्यांना कपडे आणि मसाले, तसेच कितीतरी घरगुती जिन्नस हवे असतात. त्यांच्या शेताजवळ या गोष्टी सहज उपलब्ध नसतात. बांगडीविक्रेत्याकडून बायका रंगीत बांगड्या खरेदी करतात. शेकोट्या पेटवल्या जातात. भजी, पुऱ्या आणि भाज्या बनवल्या जातात. समोसे आणि उसाचा रसही फार लोकप्रिय असतो. मुले आपल्या मित्रांसमवेत आनंदाने बागडतात. मुले झोपाळ्यावर आणि मेरी-गो-राउंडमध्ये बसतात. प्रत्येकाला बाजारचा दिवस प्रिय असतो.
